So I started this blog last January thinking I would do better keeping it up than I do in writing in my journal. That didn't happen. I feel good if I write in my journal more than once a year and anything after January gets huge bonus points. I can't even begin to update everyone on what has happened since my last post. But, lately I have been spending my Saturday, Sunday and Mondays with Lacy in Salt Lake. Only one more weekend left and then Little "D" will be here by the 25th. I feel so blessed to spend time with Lacy. I don't get to help my family much with living so far away, so this is a huge blessing. I am home for a few days and trying to tackle my taxes. I don't know why I procrastinate! I always get money back. Anyway I am a little over half way through so hopefully today I can finish up.

Just two weeks ago we spent two days getting ready and attending the Mule Deer Foundation banquet in Rock Springs. Shaun has been on the Committee for the last two years and has taken his display each year. Last year he took his brother's Mtn. Goat that he mounted and this year he took his Bear he shot two years ago. He also takes several mule deer mounts. He started do Taxidermy for everyone else for the last two years. He has done things for family for years and decided to do it for a little extra hunting cash.

Shaunte` went in last week for her knee. Good news is that we are not looking at surgery. But, the bad news is that it is a deep bone bruise and although it has been 8 months since she hurt it barrel racing it is only 60% healed. We are looking at another 6 months or so before it is 100%. So she will wear a knee brace for a couple of months.

We have been following Rachelle in basketball and now on to tournaments. She was playing with her uncle Kaden and hit her elbow on the tile floor. That was last Friday. It is still swollen and she is complaining(which she never does) and so it looks like we will be taking her in to see what is going on.

Madison got her 3rd Samurai yesterday. That is an award that is given to the kids who go above and beyond in reading. She is so independent. We tend to ignore her just because she does for herself. She is sure growing up fast. She dressed up for St. Patricks day today and had her dad paint a shamrock on her face. I can't wait to see what she does next.

Jason is the center of every ones attention. He has such a vibrant personality. We can't wait to see what he says next. Yesterday we were in Taco Time and he yelled "Look there is a hippopotamus" I turned around and he was pointing to a man who was a little large and had several chins. I turned back around and didn't know what to say. Jason was not being mean he was being serious. He said "Mom that man looks just like a hippopotamus." Needless to say me and Shaun just ignored it because we didn't know what to do.

It looks like spring is on it's way. Hopefully we get some moisture this spring.

Grandma where are you??

Today has been nothing short of crazy. Jason is not even two and I think I am in BIG trouble. He pulled out all my files from my file cabinet, danced in the flour drawer, and has been full of vinegar all day. He is teasing everyone and won't leave anyone alone. He has to be the center of attention. If I wasn't so mad I would have thought to get a picture of him several times. But, in the heat of the moment all I wanted to do was send him to grandma's. Shaun and Shelly have started a trap line. They enjoy getting out together and will hopefully catch a few cats to pay for the gas and maybe a little extra. They have both headed off to young men and young womens. Shaunte` has had a rough couple of days. She has had her 12 year old molar hurting her (it hasn't even come through yet). They thought it was full of cavity. So last night the dentist cut through the gum and exposed the tooth. She was in so much pain that he went ahead and drill a hole in it to relieve the pressure. Much to his amazement it was just a shell of a tooth. So after several calls to different specialists we are heading to Salt Lake in the morning to an oral surgeon and he will extract the tooth. Madison danced in the basketball game on Saturday and was sooo cute!! Tonight at dinner she informs me she doesn't feel well, yep!! that's right a fever. So at this point it looks like the whole family is going to Salt Lake. Rachelle said she didn't want to stay home alone and miss out on a day with her crazy family.
